The Lord God said it is not good for man to be alone, I will make him a helper comparable to him. (Genesis 2:18) The man and woman were equal yet different…..gender distinctiveness flowed out of their equality in such a perfectly complementary way that it blended into a mysterious oneness. This does not mean a person needs to be married to reflect fully the glory of God but it does mean that gender distinctiveness was essential before God said “it is good”…. The culture we live in creates such hostility towards Gods design and order and it has raged for decades……. Are we leaving a legacy to our girls, our boys, and our grandchildren? One of the most important things I do now is working to prepare my children, especially my girls on how to be a great wife and mother and most of all a great Christian woman…. We are God’s image bearer……I try to show my boys what kind of woman they want to marry….I show and teach my girls what kind of a woman they should be…. Bless you as you endeavor to…Leave a Legacy.

How are you teaching your children?
I was listening to a CD from Pastor Douglas Wilson and he makes a great point. He says this “Instead of asking your children their opinion start asking them facts”. What do your kids know? Do they know who the Vice-President of the United States is? Do they know the difference between North Korea and South Korea? …….Educate yourself, then educate your children.
Dear Christian Parent,
Coffee Cup Communications is a publicity and communications firm specializing in new media promotions. As a part of our services, we run blog tours which feature new books (and other products) on blogs related to the book’s topic. We are currently seeking participants to blog about the parenting book, Journey of a Strong Willed Child, by Kendra and John Smiley. In reviewing your blog, we thought some of your readers might be interested in this topic.
You can find a full summary of the book and information about the authors at http://kendrasmiley.com.
This tour will run from February 9-13. As a participant in the tour, you will receive a free copy of the book to read and review. In return, you are asked to post about the book on any day during the tour. You have full flexibility to create a post that matches the tone and style of your blog. We will have interview questions, a media release, author bios, and photos up on a centralized website and available for you to use. Or you can also post your personal review of the book. You are not obligated to write a positive review, although we ask that you remain respectful toward the authors.
Please let us know if you are interested or if you have any other questions by January 26. You can also review our website for other examples of tours at the address listed below.
Thank you for your time and consideration. Please let us know your thoughts.
