Virtuous Women @CLCC

Vision 2012

Women’s Ministry exists to equip women to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things, for the joy of all people through Jesus Christ. We desire to lead women to embrace the great assurance and hope of their identity in Jesus Christ and to claim and enjoy satisfaction in Him. We will treasure Christ together through:

Prayer

Study and application of the Word

Fellowship

Serving one another

Serving the community

We will encourage the older women to be examples and teachers of the younger women. We are committed to raising up women who exemplify Biblical womanhood to the glory of God.

Bible Studies

We encourage all women to join a Bible study to grow in the grace, knowledge, and love of their Savior (2 Peter 3:18).

Women’s Bible Study and Breakfast

Virtuous Women meets monthly every second Saturday of the month (with the exception of December) starting at 8:30am and goes to 10:30am.

We meet together every other month in the fellowship hall, for a time of breakfast, worship and the study of God’s Word. On the opposite months we meet at someone’s house for a women’s breakfast where we each share our recipes and fellowship. Childcare is available for the studies at the church.

The Study of John

Please join us as we dig deep into the “Gospel of John” seeing Jesus as The Light of the World, The Bread of Heaven, The Good Shepherd, Our Savior, and Our Messiah.  We are looking forward to spending time with you in the Word, in fellowship, and in prayer. The study begins weekly Thursday, February 2nd 2012, at 10-11:30 a.m.

This Bible study will be held in the church sanctuary. Study guides will be provided at no charge.   Please see Susan Saldivar and Rebecca Williams for details.

Child care will be provided…RSVP to rebeccasue.williams@gmail.com or susan.saldivar@gmail.com

 “Evening Tea” Titus 2 Study

“Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Titus 2:3-5

Are you interested in being mentored by an older woman? Do you want to invest in the lives of younger women or just be encouraged through teaching from the Word of God the role that we as women are to have? Are you curious as to what Biblical womanhood looks like in our post-modern American culture?  Would you like to be part of a “book of the month” club?

Our Titus 2 Ministry will pair older and younger women in informal relationships for the purpose of teaching Biblical womanhood, basic homemaking skills, and other practical helps.

A Titus 2 group will consist of one or two women leading six to eight (any age) women. We will meet twice a month for one year. If you or someone you know (college-aged and older) would like to benefit from the tremendous resource of “seasoned Bible-saturated Christ followers” and be part of a Titus 2 group, please come to an informational tea on Thursday, February 16, 6:00pm-8pm at Michelle Hensley’s house. RSVP to michellehensley1@gmail.com.

This vision is for married, single, teens, younger girls in the church and even outside the church to be a part of a foundational component of CLCC’s women’s ministry. Book groups, homemaking groups and one-on-one relationships are informal gatherings designed to build relationships between godly women and to teach principles of Biblical womanhood. Be sure to bring your favorite tea, too!
